The government has issued an inter-district transfer policy for teachers of schools of the Basic Education Council.
The government has issued an inter-state transfer policy for teachers of schools of the Basic Education Council. The same teachers will be able to apply for transfer, who have completed three years in the working district by 31 March 2016.
At the same time, teachers going to another district will be considered the most junior in the seniority list of that district. Applications for transfer will be taken online only and the Basic Education Council will have to complete this process by July 15.
After this, no endogenous transfer will take place. No teacher will be transferred from rural area to urban area and from urban area to rural area.
After a long wait of two years, on Thursday evening, Secretary Basic Education Ajay Kumar Singh released the Inter-State Transfer Policy 2016-17.
Each teacher will be given a choice of five districts. Only when the post is vacant will they get a chance in the districts given in the order of preference. In any case in the districts where the posts are not vacant, they will not be transferred.
In the districts where the number of teachers will be less, the same number of teachers will be sent to other districts, as many teachers will be migrating from other districts to that district. In any case, the teacher-student ratio in the district will not be kept below 1: 40.
They will provide a printed copy of the verified application forms with necessary attachments to the Secretary, Office of Basic Education Council, Allahabad within one week of the last date of filling the application form. They have to tell how many applications came and how many of them were rejected.
The Secretary Basic Education Council will have to provide the list of canceled applications, stating the reason for cancellation of the application. A copy of this will also be put on the notice board of the BSA office. In any district, transfer can be done only to the extent of sanctioned posts.
