So far 4 state governments have announced restoration of old pension. These states include Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand. The governments of these states have resolved the long standing issue by taking a decision in favor of the employees.
Issuing this order, all the governments sent a message on their Twitter and thanked the workers' unions for sticking to their demands and for peacefully putting their demands before the government.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced the restoration of the old pension scheme in his state budget session and also said that “appointments after January 1, 2004 will also benefit from the old pension scheme. The government of Maharashtra also restored the old pension scheme.
